Forget the liitle black dress…How about a little yellow dress?  Yellow is one the hottest colors in S/S 2008 - a bright yellow like lemon drops to deeper shades of sunflowers.   Theres a colour to suit ever skin tone.  Flowery prints and patterns are also in for the season.  Expect to see sheer fabrics such as chiffon that feel so feminine & airy to the touch.

Get ready for more bows, red, whites and blues as we go over board for one of the trends for Spring 2008 the nautical look is hot. Make sure you’re a stylish sailor and not a fashion-shipwreck with my top looks and tips.  Get the nautical look and sail into style with sexy sailor stripes but remember to keep it simple and stick to the basic colour scheme, with emphasis on clean and crisp cottons, white linen, navy and red, it’s a simple casual look. 

A simple but classic look consists of high waisted wide legged jeans, a striped red and white t-shit and some wedge shoes.  There’s no need to over accessorise with this style just add an over sized bag.

Fashion’s leading names this season, including Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Jessica Ogden have all featured this trend in their catwalk shows.  Armani’s beachwear was a chic, Riviera-style sophistication, Figleaves have great swimwear, here are a couple of the best.

In whites, choose from the following: crisp linen shirts; loose, “Romantic” frilled blouses; trousers in every style, from palazzo to Capri pants; collars navy wide-leg slacks with big button fronts; Dutch caps and new variations on halterneck tops and, of course, sailor vests.

Gone are the black and white Burberry ads from the days when Kate Moss fronted the advertising campaigns since the mid 2000’s. Now Christopher Bailey’s Burberry is all about the up and coming Brits.  The look is said to represent “a very colorful collection and a younger mood at Burberry,”
